Nobody wants to be called a person but a person who is a person can be noticed on how they behave, and often they consume alcohol and be under the influence of drugs, labelling does happen whereby a person is called an alcoholic or even drug addict by their family, friends and neighbour even before that person is diagnosed as the addict, labelling of a person is a not a right to do, but it indicate that people are aware that there is something which is called alcohol or drug addiction.
Drug and alcohol evaluation are done by experts to determine whether a person has a problem with drugs or alcohol ,the people doing such evaluation are aware that people with such addiction are more reluctant to agree that they actual have a problem and need help which is professionally and support amongst their surroundings. they will ask relevant questions such as how often a person drinks and use drugs why do they even think of consuming alcohol and using drugs, what happen when the day goes by without using what they are addicted to ,do they feel normal and okay to go through the day .are they taking either of the two to escape a reality and when they are drunk and high on drugs how do they feel , does the problem go away or is just a moment of being free from dealing with the problem they are facing.

And if a person have such feelings and replied yes to all or more of the question asked by a specialist who is doing a Drug and alcohol evaluation will mean that a person has an addiction and they need to be rehabilitated somehow, because at that point live on drug and alcohol is their oxygen to live, without it they don’t feel like they are alive or they can’t handle being alive without drinking and taking drugs.
